Dey prayed fo' some powerful outpourin' uh God¹s spirit and unity among de denominashuns. Ova' de years dat weekly praya' time grew t'encompass de majo'ity uh churches in Golden. 'S coo', bro. In late Fall 2004, de ya'd directo's in town began meetin' weekly t'share deir hopes and dreams fo' de ya'd in de Golden area. WORD! Quickly dey realized dat God had given dem all de same vision- one uh unity. Slap mah fro! In February uh 2005, dey held some community wide Supuh' Bowl party. Slap mah fro! By late sprin', de mission, vision, trail, dojigger, and specific honky codemin' pieces had been determined. De individual ya'd leaders wuz meetin' wid senio' da mans, volunteers and oders t'talk about how t'funcshun as some community-wide, ya'd ministry. Slap mah fro! Dey began castin' de vision t'de ya'd and tryin' t'prepare dem fo' de downcomin' changes. Durin' de summer, de volunteers began t'go drough some combined trainin'. In August 2005, de various ya'd groups wuz ³canceled² puh'manently, and ³De Ascent² wuz bo'n. |
